Please note that you DO NOT need to have a Paypal account to make a credit/debit card payment using Paypal.

 

UK Shipping FAQs

Which carrier do you use for delivery?
Royal Mail is used predominently on all orders unless the order is of an excessive weight, in which case, the order may be sent using DHL.
Which services are available for delivery?

The default option is 1st class post. Leadtimes on this are generally 1-2 days but, as this is not a guaranteed service, it can take longer.

Also available at checkout is 'Special Delivery - Next Working Day' (by 1pm to most areas of the UK). The cut-off time on orders that require this service is 3pm, to allow us a reasonable chance of picking, packing and dispatching the same day. Orders with a large number of individual items placed late in the day may not be dispatched the same day but all reasonable efforts will be made to dispatch.

The 'Next Working Day' guarantee does not apply if:

  • Unable to deliver the item because there was no-one to sign for your item
  • The delivery address is in an area of the UK where Royal Mail do not guarantee next day delivery. (See their website for a list of exceptions. Mainly Top Scotch and Outer Hebrides.)
  • Royal Mail does not guarantee the delivery time for items to an address for which a person has paid for redirection services. The item will be forwarded to the new address using Special Delivery.


Special Delivery - Saturday is available on our website on a Thursday after 3pm through to Friday before 3pm through the checkout in addition to the 'Next Working Day' option. This is a slightly more expensive service.

Important Information on Special Delivery service - Most people choose the Special Delivery option as it is a fast, guarantee delivery service with insurance. However, if you send to an address where there is no-one available to sign for the delivery, the order will be taken back to the depot and you will get a card posted instructing you on how to organise re-delivery. It cannot be sent to another address or left anywhere. Royal Mail currently require 2 working days to organise re-delivery so this will significantly slow down the receipt of urgent orders. This allows time for the item to get back to the delivery office and be assigned for Redelivery. If you need the item earlier, you can collect it from the address shown on the card left (but this is usually a central depot and not your local Post Office). Royal Mail offer a re-delivery option to your local Post Office for a surcharge of £0.75.
When will my order be dispatched?
We aim to post all orders placed before 3pm on the same day (Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays). We do frequently operate a Saturday morning service so you may find that orders placed on a Friday evening are dispatched on Saturday, but this is not a guaranteed coverage.
How much is the delivery charge?
Our standard delivery service is charged at a standard flat rate of {{CUR:2.40}} (inc VAT) within the UK for orders less than {{CUR:50}}.

Free 1st class delivery on all UK orders over {{CUR:50}}

Special Delivery - Next Working Day service is available for a charge starting at {{CUR:6.50}} (+VAT) using Royal Mail Special Delivery service. The price is based on the weight of the order.

Special Delivery - Saturday (by 1pm) delivery (post code exceptions apply) starting at {{CUR:9.50}} (+VAT) using Royal Mail Special Delivery service. The cut-off time for this service is 3pm Friday.

What carrier do you use?

Our standard EU delivery service is via Airmail.

A 'Tracked Express Shipping' delivery option is available. We typically use the DHL Economy (road) service to the majority of countries in the EU, but occasionally use FedEx International Economy service where the road service is not available. If you have a particular preference for DHL or FedEx, please contact us to check if this will affect the price.

How much is delivery?

Delivery charges for Airmail start at {{CUR:3.95}} (+VAT). The delivery charge is per order but does increase depending on the weight and value of the order. To obtain an accurate price, please go through the Checkout and enter the 'Shipping Address'. This is an untracked service.

The Tracked Express Shipping service starts at {{CUR:19.95}} (+VAT). Again, this price will increase depending on weight and value of the order.

How quick is delivery?

Standard Airmail normally takes about 5-7 working days for most EU countries. Sometimes this can take longer due to the postal service in the destination country. Although rare, it can sometimes take up to 3 weeks due to delays so please be patient. Any delays are out of our hands as it depends on the  postal service in your country.

The Tracked Express Shipping service is typically 3-5 working day delivery throughout European destinations. (Please note that some destinations produce slightly longer transit times). If you require a faster delivery service, please contact us for a price.

We aim to post all Tracked Express Shipping orders placed before 9am BST (collection is early in our area) on the same day (Monday to Friday excluding Bank Holidays). Orders with a large number of individual items may not be dispatched the same day but all reasonable efforts will be made to dispatch.

Our standard delivery service is via one of the Airmail International Tracking and Signature services.. The particular service depends on the country of receipt but offers a degree of tracking and a slightly faster transit time than standard airmail.

A 'Tracked Express Shipping' delivery option is also available. We typically use the FedEx International Priority service to the majority of countries, but occasionally use 'DHL Express Worldwide'. If you have a particular preference for DHL or FedEx, please contact us to check if this will affect the price.

The Tracked Express Shipping service starts at {{CUR:29.00}}. The rate depends upon the destination country and the weight and size of the order. The price for this delivery option will be displayed at the checkout after the delivery address has been confirmed.

VAT is displayed on the prices on the website
All prices on our website include VAT. If you choose a destination country that is outside of the EU, then VAT will not apply to your order. The VAT charged will be removed and you will see the changes in your basket before paying for your order.
